WDRO successfully conducted a comprehensive training session on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) case management for its staff and key stakeholders. The training aimed to enhance the capacity of participants to deliver survivor-centered, ethical, and effective GBV response services within their communities. A total of 20 participants all female, including WDRO personnel, local authorities, health providers, and community leaders, attended the sessions. The training covered critical topics such as survivor confidentiality, referral pathways, trauma-informed care, and the principles of safety and dignity in GBV case management. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and role-playing exercises, participants gained practical skills to identify, respond to, and support survivors of GBV in a manner that prioritizes their well-being and empowerment. The training also emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen multi-sectoral coordination in addressing GBV. By fostering a shared understanding of roles and responsibilities, WDRO reinforced the need for integrated service delivery systems that ensure seamless support for survivors. Participants expressed increased confidence in their ability to handle GBV cases sensitively and effectively, while also recognizing the critical role they play in challenging harmful social norms and promoting gender equality. This initiative not only strengthened the technical capacity of WDRO staff and partners but also laid a solid foundation for a more coordinated and survivor-focused response to GBV in the region.
