On July 7, 2025, an interface meeting was held at Biqa Kebele in Babile Woreda with 25 participants, including 17 men and 8 women such as religious leaders, women’s groups, youth representatives, and kebele committee members. The meeting focused on understanding the root causes and impacts of harmful traditional practices (HTPs), emphasizing the role of community and religious leaders in prevention, promoting community-led solutions, and strengthening collaboration for reporting and referrals. Key outcomes included increased awareness of HTP consequences, a unified commitment to community-driven approaches, and improved cooperation among stakeholders to enhance protection and collective action for vulnerable groups.
