During the training, a comprehensive presentation was delivered on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), covering both its short-term and long-term adverse effects. Participants, including FGM practitioners, actively engaged in discussions and acknowledged the serious physical, psychological, and social consequences of the practice. This awareness-raising session highlighted the legal prohibitions against FGM in Ethiopia and emphasized the importance of protecting women and girls from this harmful tradition.

A total of 20 FGM practitioners, gate keepers(14 host community, 6 IDP) participants attended the session.
